English Language Projects in Your School

InterACT is a non-profit organisation that has energised students for the English language, culture, and the arts for over twelve years.

About Us

We’re a team of creative folks, and English native speakers, who have found their calling in education. We trained around the world as artists, musicians, actors, dancers and academics - many of us hold qualifications as language teachers as well.

For the past decade we’ve been bringing our creative approach to language education and our diverse cultural backgrounds into the classroom. Although we come from English speaking countries like the USA, England, South Africa, Jamaica, Ireland, Scotland and Canada, we’ve all chosen to call Germany home.

Our work is based around our fundamental belief that helping students to develop their creativity, intercultural competency and English language skills is an important contribution towards developing tolerant, reflective and successful global citizens.

Professional Development

We train teachers in new and creative approaches to EFL education. Working with partners like Germany’s state teacher training institutes, Universities and text book publishers we share our teaching methodology and tools with fellow educators looking to develop their own teaching practice.

Educational Initiatives

As a social business our goal is to provide access to intercultural language experiences, and the arts to all students regardless of their socio-economic status or geographic location. Together with strategic partners we develop and facilitate projects and programs for underserved and at-risk communities.

Enhancing Education through the Arts

We believe that language and the arts aid students in developing the sensibilities required to perceive, interpret, reflect and inscribe their experience of the world.

Teaching Artists

“A teaching artist is a practicing professional artist with the complementary skills, curiosities and sensibilities of an educator, who can effectively engage a wide range of people in learning experiences in, through, and about the arts.”

- Eric Booth

Discover InterACT Online

Like so much of the world, many of our normal ways of working have changed. Nevertheless, we believe now more than ever it’s essential to share our stories and creativity with each other. Our new online courses are a chance for young learners to improve their English and explore their creativity from the safety of home.
